Mr. Independence

This is a perfect description of my son right now:
(Baby Center & "What to expect")

At 13 months, children start to recognize that they have power, and they're learning how to use it. Your toddler may demand that you read to him, push him on a swing, take him for a walk. Even if he doesn't use words, he can make clear, by tugging on you and pointing, exactly what he wants.
By now, some little ones can cruise or even walk (and some can’t and that’s fine, too) and imitate you like a pro (you touch your nose, he’ll touch his). Most will be able to drink from a cup; say one or two recognizable words; and point to what he wants. Intellectually, it’s all about cause and effect now (if I drop my spoon, Mommy will pick it up…again and again). On the emotional front, expect some first attempts at friendship as well as a wide range of moods and behavior, from affection to frustration to full-blown stubbornness. In other news, diaper changes may become a battle of wills as your little critter loathes staying still for something so boring (and probably prefers to be bare-bottomed anyway). You may be concerned about an appetite slump, which is totally normal as Mr. Independence now wants to decide when (and what) he will eat. And speaking of eating, get ready for toddler food throwing, food blowing, and massively messy attempts at self-feeding. Clinginess and separation anxiety (yours and his) might be big issues these days, so use tactics that’ll help minimize partings: Get your toddler busy before you go, and leave a little bit of Mommy behind (such as a pillow or photo).

Yep! that's my boy right now.
Still - So handsome, so sweet, so smart. I love you.

Happy Father's Day & Happy Birthday!

This is JJ's Daddy and my hubby. He is an awesome Dad, that loves us so much an sacrifices a lot to make sure we are taken care of.

He plays with JJ and makes him laugh...

He is always in a good mood, always making jokes. Sometimes he's so funny we are speechless! ;-)

We love you so much and are very proud of you. Happy Daddy's Day and Happy Birthday!

Cuddle Time

I love that my baby loves to cuddle with me. If I ever need a lift me up, this is all I have to do. I love him.
And I love that Jesse thought of grabbing the camera and capture this moment. I love my boys.

And, inspired by my sis-in-law Melissa's love for distressed pages and Kailaaimee's "Faith" Pages, I put together this baby. I love this song, it's by Tree 63.

Remain Calm

Yup, that's what I told myself this afternoon when Mr. Chinicuki pulled on the tablecloth and down came the box of buttons. I spent a good amount of time picking up I don't know how many. But first I grabbed my camera and took this pic ;-)

That face, he knows he's in trouble!

Monday Cuteness!

How adorable are these? And so easy to put together, I just had to trim, mat and add the pics. They match little JJ's room perfectly.
And I didn't want to go to Walmart this morning! :-)

SAHM

Motherhood is a gift and a season of life to treasure. If you're a mom, you can stand with dignity, offer no apology for what you do, and say, "I'm a wife and mother. I love my job."

Yeehaw!

Our little family had a very busy weekend! On Friday night we were invited to a play by our friend Sharel. It was "The Lion King". Sharel and Katie did an awesome job as well as all the kids that performed. Little JJ loved the music! Sharel's make-up? not so much... :-)

On Saturday we attended a beautiful wedding, really beautiful ceremony. Jesse Joel behaved so good.
On Sunday! we went to my dear friend Marita's house, for little Thomas's Cowboy themed birthday party. What a party! Pony rides, petting zoo, train rides, ice cream, cotton candy, chocolate fountains! We BOTH had soooo much fun! Actually, Jesse Joel had a fun-overload!:-)
